www.cortahojas.com.- Chilean exports of bottled wine between January and September 2014 saw large numbers, increasing in value by 23%, meaning it reached a price of $ 30.2 the box, which means an increase of 2%.

According to data provided by Wines of Chile, until September, shipments of bottled wine achieved a 25% increase in volume.

The premium wines increased 14% in value, with an average price of $ 40 a box. While the wines between $ 30 to $ 40 a box, showed a greater increase in value, with 31% in September and 10% cumulative.

Sparkling wine also recorded increases, reaching an increase of 86% in value and 89% by volume, so until September 22% cumulative is calculated.

 

The main markets for Chilean wines 

China remains the most important market for Chilean wine, recorded in the period a growth of 37% in value and 53% by volume.

Europe also saw large numbers. To date, the Chilean wine exports have increased in value arriving in Germany to 24.6%, Netherlands 23%, Ireland 21.3% and 14.3% Denmark. At the other extreme, the UK and the US have moderated its decline in value to -3% and -4% respectively.

In Latin America, Brazil remains the main market and also maintains an upward trend, reaching 28.3% in turnover and 26% by volume, with 8.5 million and 296,000 cases exported, reaching a price of $ 28.85 per box.
