This disparate scenario of wine exports during January 2018 is shown as follows: exports of bottled wines reached 5.1 million boxes of 9 liters in January, representing an increase of 3% in respect of to January 2017.
These shipments recorded returns of US $ 144.6 million, a figure that represented an increase of 6.8% compared to January 2017. The average price was US $ 28.5 per case, which reflected an increase of 3 , 7% compared to January 2017.
China is the first destination market for national wine exports and has been promoting the sector permanently in recent years. However, the shipments of sparkling wine arrived in January at 40,700 boxes, thus warning a fall of 29.5% in volume. They also went down in value. Exports of wine in bulk reached 24.1 million liters, which represented a decrease of 25.7% compared to January 2017.
