Since 2002, Chile is the main supplier of wines to Brazil. It’s been more than 15 years, since Chilean wines began to conquer the palates of demanding Brazilian consumers.

According to data provided by ProChile Brasil, in 2017, Chilean wines conquered 39.73% of the Brazilian market, with an increase of 18.83%, while Argentina obtained a share of 14.6%; Portugal 12.32%; France 10.88%; Italy 10.68%; Spain 6.88%; Uruguay 2.10%; United States 1.17%; South Africa 0.88% and Australia 0.35%.

In this way, Brazil has become an important showcase to highlight the strengthening of the brand image of Chilean wines and raise awareness of the quality of Chilean export wines.

In this context, the Brazilian market and wine products from around the world are preparing to participate in one of the most important international competitions in South America, “Brazil Wine Challenge 2018”, which is organized by the Brazilian Association of Oenology , with the support of the OIV, (International Office of Vine and Wine) and the International Union of Oenologists (UIOE). In this meeting, 18 international and 33 national juries participate, with more than 600 samples from 17 countries and a wide dissemination in more than 230 cities with an emphasis on the major capitals such as Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Recife and Brasilia. .
The ninth version of the Brazil Wine Challenge will be held between June 4 and 7, 2018, in Bento Gonzalvez, RS, Brazil.
