In some countries like the US and others in Europe, in recent times it has seen a decline in sales of bottled Chilean wine due to higher prices. However, sales of bulk wine has been growing at a promising pace.

Imports of Chilean wine in bulk to the US increased 405% in the first four months of 2016. In contrast, imports of bottled wine fell by 19%, according to Gomberg-Fredrikson.

Exports of bulk wine corresponds to 42% of total exports of Chile.

Export bulk wine is much more efficient than sending bottled wine.

The quality is not discussed

Quality bulk wine not an issue, and bulk wine is just a different wine packaging, for example format: in countries like France, Germany and China bulk wine used for assembly.

The strain mostly exported as bulk wine is Cabernet Sauvignon. For example, in the US it is the best selling strain. Followed by the Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Carmenere.
