Demand increased in March, with 4 million boxes exported, equivalent to a 0.4% increase in volume, compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the first quarter of 2019, China was the main destination for bottled wine exports, with exports of 1.9 million boxes for a total of US $ 59.1 million, which represented a 2% increase in volume and value.
On the contrary, the value of exports to the United States fell by 15.4%, with US $ 33.5 million collected in the same comparison.

The markets that stood out for their growth were Germany, with 70.3% and exports for US $ 9.35 million, and Brazil, with 35.8% in volume and 24.6% in value, equivalent to US $ 28.8 million.

The average price of Chilean wine in the first quarter of the year was US $ 28.6 per case, with a year-on-year drop of 1.7%. However, the category of wines over US $ 60 per box registered an increase of 7.5% in volume and 0.5% in value; the segment had a participation of 4.4% in the total of wines exported and 15.4% in the value of the liquor.
