An important consideration delivers Vinos de Chile is that almost 70% of the bottled wine of our country is certified under the Code of Sustainability data. This is an initiative that promotes the industry since 2011, with a view to enhance good practices in various areas of the production process and viticulture, cellar management (winemaking) and the social environment and community workers.

So far there are 48 vineyards certified and other work to do. An important figure when you consider that the total number of companies that sell only wine Viñas-not exceed 200.

 

Global Trend

As in the rest of the world, Chilean Wine Industry have incorporated measures more friendly production environment, surrounding communities and the people who work in productive chains of their wines.

An example of these are the vines that already have organic vineyards, to become 100% sustainable. Another example is the incorporation of green energies such as solar polygeneration to reduce carbon footprint climate processes in the production chain.

On the other hand, it is also implementing the Dry Farming system to optimize the use of water resources favoring the use of rainwater, which does not affect its quality. It has been seen in several tasting panels that through the use of this system quality wines are obtained, enriching its fruitiness and aromatic expression.
